Scoring the CBO

Must-read editorial in the Wall Street Journal this morning on the flaws in the CBO’s scoring of the Baucus health care bill. Check out The Greatest Show on Earth.
“Behold: a new $829 billion entitlement that will subsidize insurance for tens of millions of people—and reduce deficits by $81 billion at the same time. In the next tent, see the mermaid and a two-headed cow.”
Perhaps this article will distract you from the, um, unexpected WTF news that President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. This is not a joke. See the video below.

Poll: Happy, Healthy Obamas Out Of Touch With Miserable Americans

'nuff said.

  1. Best joke so far this morning -- It's the Seinfeld award - an award about nothing

  2. he should trade it for the olympics!

  3. hey, my company made $$$6 BILLION last year alone from the Medicare reform of 2003. Mkking families pay penalties for not buying into insurance will make more windfall profits for the health industry who broke the system in the first place. Insurers don't seem to want a free market when government penalties and subsidies will line their pockets.

Why not just expand Medicare or sCHIPS for anyone who wants to buy in regardless of age? Or let families buy into the Federal programs that insure members of Congress or Federal employees?

  4. “…the WTF news (about Obama)….” Almost fell out of my chair LOL. WTF indeed. We may have the next Jimmy Carter here….

  5. I guess it's true, figures don't lie but liars can figure!
